About Me

I have over 20 years of experience working with trauma, relationship issues, attachment wounds, and a wide range of emotional, social, identity-related, political, and sexual struggles. I help you to slow down and explore the stories held in your mind, body, and nervous system. My approach is grounded in Gestalt and Somatic Experiencing therapy, along with other integrative modalities. With a background in the arts and yoga, I view therapy as a creative process.

I collaborate with you to gently uncover and work through what holds you back from living as your fullest self and creating the life you deeply want. Building trust and connection is essential to feeling safe enough to explore the places where you feel stuck or unprocessed. These areas often contribute to struggles with depression, anxiety, panic, and other challenging emotions—and can lead us to repeat patterns or relationships that no longer serve us. We work together to heal old wounds and move you in the direction of your goals. Along the way, we recognize when the "protectors" you developed in response to dysfunction, neglect, trauma or abuse are no longer serving you- and may now be holding back your vitality and life force.

 â€‹â€‹â€‹

I spent many years as Director of Maverick Psychotherapy Group, where I led a team of over 35 therapists and developed programming and equitable practices to support and supervise other clinicians.

I also assist in training clinicians who are becoming Somatic Experiencing Practitioners, helping facilitate the same three-year program I once completed. In addition, I continue to deepen my work in Gestalt Therapy through ongoing consultation and supervision, following four years of formal training in the modality.

I believe it is part of my responsibility to you to consistently examine my own inner world and lived experience—so I can more fully meet you in yours, and offer therapy that honors our shared humanity.
